MCS High School Families,
Please follow the link for the 1st Semester Exam Schedule and additional information.
Below are the students 1-12 that made honor roll for the first quarter.
On Aug. 21, 2017 the Middletown Christian School campus will be near the path of the total solar eclipse. This event is the first time since 1918 a solar eclipse will be visible across the continental United States, and able to be viewed by most of the country. The safety of our MCS students is a top priority at Middletown Christian. Looking at the Sun during this event can lead to eye damage or even blindness. Due to these possible health concerns and the timing of the eclipse/dismissal at MCS, we have made a decision to dismiss elementary students at 11:45 A.M. and Middle/High School at 12:00 P.M. on Monday. Athletic events/practices will also be postponed, please be in communication with your coach for more details.
The following transportation departments will be taking students home for the early dismissal: Middletown, Monroe and Madison. If your student rides a bus and they are not listed, please find the necessary transportation.
With billions of created heavenly bodies in our unbelievable God-created universe, this is just another event created by the Great Artist. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the MCS office at (513) 423 4542.
Please welcome our new teaching staff for the 2017-18 school year.
I am pleased to announce Ms. Natalie King as our new kindergarten teacher. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at a young age. Ms. King has been involved in many different ministries, including Vacation Bible School, nursery and Upward cheerleading. Ms. King graduated summa cum laude from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Ms. King is excited to return to Middletown Christian Schools now as a teacher, and we are excited to see how the Lord is going to use her here.
I am pleased to announce Mr. Richard Morin as our new High School Bible teacher. He came to know the Lord as his personal Savior as a teenager. His desire is that each student develops a passion for God’s Word and a burden for lost souls. He graduated from Indiana Baptist College with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Bible with an emphasis in Speech. Mr. Morin is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Christian Education from The Crown College and has two classes remaining. He is married with 3 children and they are in the process of adopting one other. They also are foster parents. Mr. Morin has been teaching for 12 years and most recently Temple Christian School and Cornerstone Baptist Temple. We are excited for him to join our team and please welcome him to our MCS family.
I am pleased to announce Ms. Carly Green as our new fifth grade teacher and Middle School volleyball coach. Most importantly, she knows Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and is devoted to His leading in her life. She is a graduate of Middletown Christian Schools and is excited to return home; we are glad to have her back! Ms. Green graduated from The Crown College with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is looking forward to her teaching career at MCS, so please welcome her to the MCS family.
Dear MCS Families and Students,
For the last three years, we have attended Camp Chautauqua to begin our school year. We will again begin this school year at the camp. On August 17th, the high school (students and faculty) will be leaving at approximately 9:00 a.m. for an overnight retreat to Chautauqua Camp and Conference Center (this activity will count as attendance for the regular school day). The purpose of this retreat is to enhance the relationships of the students and faculty members, ensure a positive spiritual emphasis within our high school, and further establish a Christ-centered atmosphere and attitude that will carry throughout the school year. The cost per student will be $15. This includes 4 meals, activities, and lodging. There will be more details coming your way in the very near future. Students will return to school for dismissal on Friday. Please be in prayer that this opportunity makes a big difference in the lives of our students, teachers, administrators, and the school.
Please complete the attached forms and return them, along with payment, to school on Tuesday, August 15th.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Again, we look forward to serving the students, parents, and community of MCS.
In His Service,
Mr. Johnson Mr. Williams Mr. Long
